Naperville, IL– john greene Real Estate, Chicagoland commercial real estate brokers and advisors, recently served as tenant representative broker for Hyundai Translead, a leading manufacturer of truck trailers and flatbeds, in the acquisition of two manufacturing sites in Will County, in a transaction that officials are calling ‘transformational’ to the region.
With an initial investment of $450 million, the California-based subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Co. will retrofit the vacant former Caterpillar Joliet plant and the defunct Lion electric facility in Channahon for trailer manufacturing. When operational in 2027, the two sites stand to bring an estimated 2,500 full-time jobs to Will County, according to Hyundai Translead CEO Sean Kenney who announced the project last week.
